The Assistant Fitness Manager will conduct welcome workouts with new members, guide them through initial fitness experiences, and help them start a personal training program. Reporting to the Fitness Manager, the role focuses on driving personal training sales and fostering member relationships. Position Purpose Build a cohesive personal training team, ensure a healthy client pipeline, and deliver exceptional fitness experiences to members. Responsibilities Lead the team and drive sales initiatives to meet daily targets, especially during weekends or absentee periods. Promote personal training packages and build rapport with members. Achieve sales targets for personal training services and small group sessions. Collaborate with membership sales to support onboarding and smooth transition to club experience. Conduct personalized welcome workouts to evaluate new members’ fitness needs and goals. Guide new members through initial club experience, fostering a positive environment that drives sales and retention. Facilitate professional development for personal trainers with coaching and support. Communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to staff. Supervise facility maintenance, equipment, locker rooms, and common areas. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and certifications. Qualifications 2‑3 years of customer service experience. 1 year of sales experience. 1 year of supervisory experience. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent relationship building and influencing skills. Strong attention to detail, systematic problem solving, and good time management. Excellent MS Office skills. Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry. Alignment with Core Values. Requirements Available to work nights and weekends. Pass a background check. Valid Personal Training certification. CPR certification within 30 days of hire. Ability to work in a gym setting, move around, and lift more than 40 lbs.
