Pet Care Assistant II

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Care attendant to provide exceptional care for pets. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and the ability to handle various breeds and sizes with confidence. Open availability is required.   MUST be able to work weekends, and holidays . This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy spending time with pets and can ensure their safety, comfort, and happiness while their owners are away.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for pets such as, walking, cleaning cabins and runs, and 

• Ensure the safety and well-being of the pets during their stay including monitoring their behavior and health and communicating any changes to the Lead on shift.

• Maintain a clean environment .   

• Communicate effectively with team members regarding the pet's needs and any concerns that may arise during their stay 

• Perform basic cleaning tasks such as: Dishes, Landry, sweeping , mopping, trash collection , pooper scooping, lawn maintenance , cleaning kennel, etc . 

• Handle any emergencies or unexpected situations with calmness and professionalism. 

• Maintain accurate records of pet care activities, including feeding schedules and health observations and medicating

Experience

• Previous experience in pet care, such as pet sitting, veterinary assistance , or animal handling, is preferred. 

• Familiarity with animal restraint techniques to ensure safe handling of pets during care. 

• Experience working in a kennel or veterinary setting is a plus. 

• Ability to lift heavy pets when required and manage multiple animals at once.
