Reefer Diesel Mechanic Technician

Reefer Diesel Mechanic/Technician Up to $32/hour depending on experience. 4 DAY Workweek. 10 Hour Shifts. Responsibilities Experience required in Thermo King or Carrier refrigeration units. Perform all levels of maintenance services, with a primary focus on refrigeration units such as Thermo King commercial refrigeration equipment for trucks and trailers. Test lines, components, and connections using electrical, mechanical and pneumatic test equipment. Read complex schematics associated with refrigeration equipment. Identify warrantable repairs and document orders. Provide additional support regarding preventative maintenance and tractor‑tire maintenance as required. Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications. Perform system repairs to include engines, hydraulic systems, tires, electrical and A/C. Work 2nd Shift, Wednesday through Saturday. Requirements Certification from a diesel mechanic trade school or a minimum of 3 years of related experience. Must have experience as a reefer or Thermo King/Carrier mechanic. Specialized training and experience in the overhaul of refrigeration components. CDL license Preferred . Ability to read, write and speak English. Basic math skills. Strong diagnostic skills. Knowledge of hydraulics. Own set of tools. The ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 75 pounds. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to pass pre‑employment drug screen.
