Radiographer

This entry-level position works under supervision and direction of a mentor/preceptor. The role involves achieving competencies required to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services. Patient populations include adults and/or pediatric patients for diagnostic, care, treatment, and surveillance. Responsibilities include providing safe, high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care in various settings. Preparing patients for procedures and correlating clinical history with procedures ordered by physicians. Communicating and collaborating with patients, families, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team. Utilizing specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment and techniques for diverse diagnostic and interventional procedures. Conducting post-procedure reviews to ensure all required elements are completed and documented. Transferring images and data to archival systems, entering technical data/findings, and preparing studies for reporting. Performing operator-level quality control checks and maintenance as per manufacturer instructions and regulatory guidelines. Participating in continuing education, professional development, and research activities to maintain competencies and promote improvements in care and treatments.
