Exciting Opportunity for a Progressive Care Nurse!

Job Description:


- Unit: PCU (Progressive Care Unit)
- Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
- Hours: 36 hours/week
- Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts every 6-week schedule
- Experience Required: 2+ years for 1st-time travelers

- Patient Diagnoses: Surgical Trauma
- Special Procedures/Unit Details:
- A 41-bed progressive care trauma/Tele unit primarily focused on adult patients.
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4, flexing to 1:5 as needed.
- Equipped with telemetry monitoring for up to 14 patients.
- Patients include those with traumatic injuries requiring surgical intervention, such as gunshot wounds, motor vehicle accidents, and falls.

Requirements:
- Certifications Required:
- AHA ACLS
- BCLS
- NIH
- TELE


- Skills Required:
- Accessing/Managing Ports
- Blood Product Administration
- Chest tubes management
- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
- Telemetry monitoring
- Tracheostomy care/management
- Wound Care/Wound Vac


- Experience with Charting System:
- Epic EMR experience required (minimum 1 year)


- Float Requirement:
- Must be willing to float to other units and campuses as needed.


- Orientation:
- Available every Monday
- Pre-assignment testing and modules required for all travelers
