We achieve growth through the development of innovative new products and services, including lighting, lighting controls, building management solutions, and location-aware applications.Job Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for driving manufacturing excellence through process optimization, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role partners with cross-functional teams to design, improve, and sustain efficient manufacturing processes while supporting production, new product introductions (NPI), and operational performance. The ideal candidate has hands-on manufacturing engineering experience, strong analytical skills, and a passion for improving quality, productivity, and safety within a manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:Develop, improve, and sustain manufacturing processes to increase productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.Lead and facilitate Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste and optimize production flow.Analyze production data, identify process improvements, and implement corrective actions to improve manufacturing performance.Support production by troubleshooting manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling issues while collaborating with Quality, Operations, and Engineering teams.Design and optimize manufacturing cells, production layouts, and material flow to improve throughput and efficiency.Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by ensuring manufacturability and supporting process validation.Train production personnel on Lean principles, standardized work, and manufacturing best practices.Research and implement new manufacturing technologies, equipment, and industry best practices.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Engineering Technology.2–5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Continuous Improvement within a manufacturing environment.Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Continuous Improvement, and Root Cause Analysis.Experience supporting production, process optimization, manufacturing cell design, and troubleshooting manufacturing processes.Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM), FMEA/PFMEA, Process Control, and manufacturing engineering principles.Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams supporting production, quality, and new product implementation.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.ERP experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office are preferred.Travel Requirements: 0-20%.We value diversity and are an equal opportunity employer.
