We're Looking for an Exceptional People Person

We are a growing, highly rated, independent automotive repair facility in Ozark looking for an exceptional people person to join our front-end team.

This is an entry-level automotive position. It is not an entry-level customer service position.

Automotive experience is not required. We are much more interested in finding someone with a strong background in sales, high-end hospitality, or exceptional guest service and teaching that person the automotive industry.

We're looking for someone charismatic, energetic, professional, and genuinely interested in people.

Think about the personality of a great bartender or high-end hospitality professional: someone who can carry a conversation with almost anyone, remembers people's names and details about their lives, reads the room well, and knows when someone wants a conversation—and when they don't.

We can teach you automotive. We're looking for someone who already knows how to connect with people.

People often walk into an automotive repair facility with their guard up. We understand that.

Our job isn't to demand their trust. It's to earn it.

We want every customer to be acknowledged immediately and treated like a person rather than another transaction. That means learning names, remembering details, asking genuine questions, listening carefully, and building relationships over time.

Our approach could be summed up as “seek first to understand.”

You'll need the emotional intelligence to adapt your communication to the person in front of you. Some customers want to talk and build a relationship. Others want concise information so they can get back to their day. Great service means recognizing the difference and making both customers feel valued.

We're looking for someone who is professional, but warm.

This Is a Sales Position

We believe great sales and great customer service belong together.

We're looking for someone who enjoys selling, wants to win, and isn't afraid to ask for the business—but who understands that professional sales is about helping people make good decisions, not pressuring them into buying.

You'll learn to present vehicle inspection results and repair recommendations, explain value, answer questions, work through objections, and confidently ask for the sale.

Being empathetic does not mean deciding what another person can afford.

We don't emotionally discount recommendations, avoid presenting necessary work because of the price, or sell out of our own pocket. Our responsibility is to give customers accurate information, clearly explain their options and the value of our recommendations, and allow them to make their own informed decisions.

We want someone who can be empathetic and confident.

Someone who wants to serve people and wants to win.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll initially work alongside an experienced Service Advisor while learning our systems, processes, and the automotive repair business.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Answering incoming phone calls and helping convert inquiries into appointments
• Immediately acknowledging and greeting customers
• Checking customers and vehicles in
• Scheduling appointments
• Keeping customers informed about the status of their vehicles
• Following up on previously recommended or declined work
• Checking customers out and processing payments
• Building genuine, long-term relationships with our customers
• Providing customer shuttle rides when needed
• Participating in the presentation of vehicle inspections and repair recommendations
• Learning to confidently present, sell, and close recommended services
• Learning our software, communication systems, inspection processes, and shop procedures
• Gradually taking responsibility for your own customers and repair orders

We want you involved in the sales process early.

As your knowledge and confidence grow, you'll take on more responsibility for presenting recommendations, handling customer questions, closing sales, and managing your own repair orders.

Our goal is for the right person to be capable of running the front counter with moderate assistance within approximately six months.

That doesn't mean we expect you to know everything in six months, just that the learning curve will be very steep the first 6 months. But this job is ever changing as technology and vehicles change, so you'll never stop learning.

Automotive repair is complicated. Building accurate, detailed estimates and developing technical automotive knowledge takes time. You'll work alongside experienced people who can help with those skills while you learn.

High-end hospitality experience is especially attractive to us.

If you've worked in an environment where remembering someone's name, anticipating what they need, reading their personality, and making them feel genuinely welcome were part of delivering exceptional service, we'd especially like to talk with you.

Automotive experience is not required, or even preferred.

What Won't Work Here

We have high expectations for how our team treats customers and one another.

Someone who is routinely negative, grumpy, curt, disrespectful, dismissive, resistant to coaching, unwilling to learn technology, or unable to communicate professionally will not be successful here.

We work in a high-energy environment, and we're looking for someone who contributes positively to that environment rather than taking energy away from it.

Profanity is not part of how our team communicates. Customers will occasionally use language we wouldn't use ourselves, so you should be comfortable remaining professional without being shocked or offended by it.

We're also specifically not seeking candidates from traditional car sales or timeshare sales backgrounds. We're looking for a relationship-driven, consultative approach to selling centered around understanding the customer, providing exceptional service, communicating value through education, and earning long-term trust.

Driving Requirement

A valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier are required.

This position includes operating customer and company vehicles and providing shuttle rides to customers as needed.

Applicants who cannot meet our driving requirements cannot be considered for this position.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting wage: $25.00/hour + sales bonus opportunities

This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position.

Sales-related bonus opportunities are available beginning day one and are tied to team performance.

Overtime is paid in accordance with company policy when approved and worked.
