We also erect our products on job sites throughout the Southeastern US.Job DescriptionJob SummaryThe Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery, equipment, and facilities within a steel fabrication environment. This role ensures production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Perform routine preventive maintenance on fabrication equipment including CNC machines, presses, shears, brakes, saws, and material handling systems• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement effective corrective actions• Assist with installation, setup, and relocation of machinery and equipment• Maintain welding machines, forklifts, cranes, and overhead hoists• Perform basic fabrication and welding repairs as needed• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical documents• Maintain accurate maintenance records and service logsQualificationsRequired Skills and QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical training or trade school preferred3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or steel fabrication environment preferredStrong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumaticsBasic electrical troubleshooting skills (motors, sensors, controls)Welding and metal fabrication skills strongly preferredAbility to operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipmentAbility to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsExperience with MS Office programsPreferred Skills/Certifications (Not Required)Welding certificationForklift or crane certificationIndustrial maintenance certificationExperience with COAST maintenance softwarePhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to work around moving machinery, noise, heat, and industrial environmentsAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Benefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offReferral programVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus pay
