Job Title: Manufacturing Technical Specialist Job Description

In this role, you will support the Process Compliance team and serve the broader manufacturing organization by driving business process improvements. Your efforts will significantly enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction in quality, process capability, reliability, robustness, operational efficiency, and standard work.

Responsibilities

• Manage key operational support activities related to product transfers and new equipment/process start-up. This includes manufacturing readiness, process design documents, engineering runs, and equipment setup.
• Perform critical technical and operational review and approval of documentation related to the design, validation, operation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes, equipment, and facilities.
• Drive business process improvements that enhance operational performance, process capability, and robustness within Aseptic Operations.
• Provide technical support on projects related to manufacturing operations and frontline execution.
• Own and actively manage Planned Events, CAPAs, and actions related to operational activities, procedures, and compliance.
• Perform critical technical and operational reviews and approvals for quality records, training, and documentation.
• Own and actively manage deviations. Lead and facilitate Root Cause Analysis and Structured Problem-Solving events to ensure thorough investigation of unplanned events and appropriate remediation actions.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, physical sciences, engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and 2 years of work experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues.
• Working knowledge of scientific and engineering principles relevant to Aseptic Process Equipment.
• Experience in technical change implementation, including training documents and process changes.
• Experience in deviations, root cause analysis, and associated remediation plans.
• Implemented process improvement projects that enhance performance and compliance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of aseptic manufacturing processing equipment and materials, such as isolators, filling, inspection, packaging machines, and sterilization systems.
• Understanding of quality assurance principles, quality systems, microbiology, and sterility assurance.

Work Environment

The work environment involves laboratory settings and adheres to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards with an emphasis on quality control.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Hillsboro, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
