Psychologist

Location: Alliance Multi-specialty Clinic and Urgent Care Center Department: Psychology-Alliance Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary Seeking a Licensed Psychologist (or Licensed eligible psychologist) to provide therapy and diagnostic testing to children, and behavioral consulting to their families. Our therapy methods include play therapy, trauma-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and collaborative problem solving. This role provides psychology and psychiatry services for families whose children and adolescents, ages 2 to 18, who are experiencing behavioral, neurodevelopmental, and emotional challenges such as depression, anxiety, attention deficit disorders (ADD/ADHD), and autism spectrum disorders. Must possess knowledge and understanding of normal pediatric/adolescent growth and brain development and have experience with pediatric/adolescent mental health diagnoses and a variety of treatment milieu and psychological tests. An understanding of the ecological, biological, genetic, and developmental factors that promote health across the lifespan is preferred. Required Education & Experience PhD or PsyD in Psychology from an accredited institution. Experience providing therapy to children with ADHD, developmental delays, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorders, complex psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions, and trauma-informed care preferred. Ability to use a variety of treatment milieu and psychological tests. Prior experience or postdoc experience in a pediatric setting is preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a desire to learn, grow, and develop outstanding leadership skills. Must demonstrate a commitment to high standards of patient care and maintain a positive experience for all children and families. Required Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Licensed Psychologist in the state of Texas, or the ability to obtain. Will consider provisional license if close to licensure. American Heart Association CPR must be obtained prior to start.
