Job Description

As a Security Officer Retail Screening in Fort Lauderdale, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate with professionalism. You will support employees, visitors, and operations through exceptional service while embodying Allied Universal’s caring, agile culture, teamwork, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, shipping and receiving areas, loading docks, parking areas, and vehicle entry and exit activity, and report unauthorized access and/or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help deter theft, trespassing, and other security-related concerns.
• Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervisors and designated client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
