Join our growing distribution team today!Position Purpose: As a Fleet Maintenance Mechanic II, you will perform preventive maintenance on trailers, tractors, and yard tractors, diagnosing and repairing medium to heavy-duty refrigerated trucks and trailers.Essential Functions:Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, and general repairsDiagnose and repair air and hydraulic brake systems, including ABSPerform electrical diagnostics and repairsRepair liftgate systems and fabricate as neededDiagnose drivelines, steering, and suspensionsMaintain accurate repair order entries and time accountability in the RTA Maintenance ProgramAssist mechanics in repairs and continue to learn advanced diagnostics and systemsComplete other relevant duties as requiredJob Requirements:Experience: Minimum of 2 years of mechanical experience or technical training with 1 year of experienceTools: Must have all necessary hand toolsDriving Experience: Preferred experience in driving/moving Class A equipmentCertifications: Tire and wheel, brakes, HVAC, and FHWA DOT Inspections preferredKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Ability to repair brakes, rear doors, air systems, and electrical systems with minimal supervisionStrong teamwork and independent work skillsValid driver's license and must be 21 years of age or olderPhysical Environment/Demands:Regularly required to stand, sit, and use hands for various tasksAbility to lift up to 75 pounds and perform repetitive movementsExposure to temperatures ranging from 20 to 90 degrees FahrenheitManual dexterity and coordination required for working at various heights and in confined spacesUNFI is an Equal Opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive and respectful environment for all.
