Job Title Speech Pathologist (.8 FTE) in the Department of Otolaryngology‑Head & Neck Surgery, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Posting Information Posting Start Date: 02/19/26. Work Arrangement: Onsite. Job Overview The position is located in the ambulatory care unit and involves planning and administering speech‑language pathology evaluations, implementing treatment plans, documenting care, utilizing support staff, and participating in designated special projects. The clinician will travel between various office locations. Essential Functions Interact with a multidisciplinary team that includes surgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, nurse navigators, RNs, social workers, and dietitians. Communicate and relay information efficiently within the team. Independently perform Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies (MBSS), Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES), and videostroboscopic exams. Manage an independent caseload of adults with voice and swallowing disorders from medically challenging etiologies using evidence‑based evaluations and treatments. Educate and counsel patients and families about communication and swallowing disorders. Participate in monthly head and neck cancer support group meetings, journal clubs, resident rounds, and continuing education activities. Complete medical documentation within specified timelines. Organize daily schedule to prioritize responsibilities without negatively impacting patient care or productivity. Required Education Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology. Required Trainings/Certifications Speech Pathologist license issued by the Ohio Medical Board and Ohio Speech Language Pathology and Audiology Board. Additional Qualifications Considered ASHA‑CCC and ASHA membership. Independent in MBSS, FEES, and videostroboscopy. MBSImp certification is ideal. Interest in clinical research in dysphagia and/or head and neck cancer. Physical Requirements/Work Environment Office environment; no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
