Dietary Aide
Job Summary:
Port Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dietary Aide to join our team. As a Dietary Aide, you will provide superior customer service to our Residents and employees while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary dietary department. Essential Functions:
Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
Help prepare meals, snacks, and beverages for residents.
Set up meal trays according to residents' dietary needs.
Assist with serving meals and loading food carts for delivery throughout the facility.
Store food items properly and help keep the kitchen organized.
Operate the dishwasher and help keep the dish room clean.
Put away clean dishes, utensils, and supplies in their proper places.
Dispose of trash and food waste following facility procedures.
Keep work areas clean, safe, and sanitary at all times.
Let your supervisor know about equipment problems, safety concerns, or supply needs.
Report accidents or unsafe conditions promptly.
Treat residents, families, visitors, and coworkers with kindness and respect.
Attend required staff meetings and training sessions.
Assist with other dietary department duties as needed.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This position is part of a health care facility that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts, as well as holiday and work during inclement weather, will be required.
