Pharmacy Clerk-Pharmacy Support Staff Level 1

Job ID: A26-025 Location: Lincoln Pharmacy Your Valued Contributions: Patient and Customer Service Delivers quality customer service to patients, responding to inquiries, questions, or requests, and referring them to the pharmacist for medical information. Communicates wait times, medication availability, and pharmacy procedures. Provides patients with educational information regarding their prescription. Answers telephone in a polite and timely manner and ensures accurate information is exchanged and patient is satisfied. Directs calls to appropriate pharmacy staff. Manages the will call bin by calling patients who have prescriptions in the pharmacy for 7 days and returning these prescriptions after the return window specified in our workflow if patients do not pick up. Administrative and Clerical Duties Balances cash register drawer and prepares daily deposit. Receives and stores incoming supplies; checks in and stocks medication orders. Counts stock and maintains electronic inventory records. Cleans equipment. Accepts packages at the pharmacy window from UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc., distributes them to the appropriate pharmacy staff, and redirects delivery drivers to another department if necessary. Files, scans, and organizes pharmacy documents, logs, and records in accordance with regulatory standards. Pharmacy Operations Support Assists pharmacy technicians and pharmacists with workflow tasks within the clerk’s scope. Manages inventory at the front counter, including OTC items and patient information materials. Restocks shelves, maintains cleanliness, and ensures an orderly pharmacy environment. Monitors waiting area flow and communicates patient updates to pharmacy staff. Required Training & Experience: Possesses a current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) CPR certification. Possesses a current State of Michigan driver’s license and valid automobile insurance. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products. Effectively uses the pharmacy software system.
