Warehouse/Driver

DriverThe Warehouse Driver reports to the Shipping Manager or their designee. Drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of products to warehouses and cruise ship locations throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, Pompano, Key West, and West Palm Beach Counties, as well as ports including Port of Miami, Port Everglades, Port Canaveral, and Port of Tampa. Drivers operate trucks or vans under 26,000 GVW, utilizing routing software when needed, and may assist with loading and unloading shipments.Key Responsibilities:Safely operate company vehicles to pick up and deliver merchandise or packagesLoad and unload vehicles, verifying items against shipping manifestsFollow assigned routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveriesMaintain clear communication with supervisors via phone or radio for delivery updatesObtain signatures and submit receipts for all deliveries; collect payments when requiredInspect vehicles for proper maintenance (fuel, oil, water, brakes, tires, lights) and report mechanical issuesMaintain accurate HOS (Hours of Service) and ELD records at all timesPerform daily truck and trailer inspections.Cross-train in warehouse operations and assist as neededFollow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policiesReport delays, accidents, or other transportation issues immediatelyMinimum Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentCDL driver's license requiredMinimum 2 years of driving experience (tractor-trailer experience preferred)Ability to operate straight trucks and tractor-trailer combinationsPrior grocery store, consumer product, or customer service experience is a plusReliable, punctual, and detail-orientedAble to work long hours and weekends during busy seasonsSkills & Abilities:Operate hand trucks and industrial power trucks safelyPhysically able to lift up to 50 lbs regularlyKnowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practicesProfessional appearance and strong interpersonal skillsAbility to follow instructions with minimal supervisionMaintain clean and safe vehicle operationComputer Skills:Electronic Logging Device (ELD)Physical Demands:Physical Abilities Lift /CarryStand C (Constantly) 10 lbs or less C (Constantly)Walk C (Constantly) 11-20 lbs C (Constantly)Sit O (Occasionally) 21-50 lbs C (Constantly)Handling / Fingering C (Constantly) 51-100 lbs O (Occasionally)Reach Outward C (Constantly) Over 100 lbs O (Occasionally)Reach Above Shoulder C (Constantly)Climb O (Occasionally)Crawl O (Occasionally)Squat or Kneel C (Constantly)Bend C (Constantly)41-100 lbs O (Occasionally)Other Physical RequirementsVision (Near, Distance, Peripheral, Depth Perception)Sense of Sound (Sounds)Work EnvironmentWarehouse Climate – Exposure to heat and cold.
