Summary

The Lead Driver Helper is responsible for leading and supporting the safe, compliant, and precise delivery, installation, and placement of sensitive, high-value equipment from warehouse locations to Data Center Operations (DCO) sites. 

Operating within active construction sites and mission-critical data center environments, the Lead Driver Helper functions as an extension of DSV’s operational excellence and customer service standards. This position requires strong leadership, technical aptitude, and the ability to direct installation teams while maintaining productivity, accuracy, and safety. The Lead Driver Helper is expected to provide white glove service, oversee installation activities, mentor team members, and ensure all work is completed efficiently and in accordance with customer and company expectations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead daily delivery, installation, and equipment placement activities at Data Center Operations (DCO) sites.
• Suport driver helpers and installation teams during transportation and onsite operations.
• Ensure safe handling, delivery, installation, and documentation of high-value equipment.
• Promote safety, compliance, and adherence to company and customer requirements.
• Resolve operational issues, provide team training, and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain communication with operations leadership and stakeholders.
• Travel as needed and work flexible schedules, including weekends and overtime, to support business needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in logistics, delivery, warehouse, installation, or related operations.
• Prior leadership, crew lead, training, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with white glove services, data center logistics, or high-value equipment installations preferred.
• Strong ability to lead teams while ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Skilled in handling sensitive equipment and using material handling tools and freight securement systems.
• Familiarity with SOPs, safety protocols, POD systems, handheld devices, and digital tracking tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical, logistics, or leadership training preferred

In addition to performing installation and delivery activities, this position requires active leadership and oversight of field operations, including monitoring team activities, ensuring compliance with safety requirements, and maintaining productivity throughout the workday.

• Frequently carry, push, or pull freight weighing up to 1,000 pounds utilizing material handling equipment.
• Lift and maneuver 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Stand and walk for extended periods on concrete, metal, construction, and other industrial surfaces.
• Frequently reach at, above, and below waist level to handle freight and equipment.
• Frequently squat, kneel, crouch, bend, and twist while positioning and securing freight.
• Perform installation activities requiring work within confined spaces and prone positioning when necessary.
• Climb in and out of trucks and trailers multiple times per shift while maintaining balance and situational awareness.
• Use manual tools and installation equipment safely and effectively.
• Visually inspect freight, installations, and work areas to ensure quality and compliance standards are met.

Work Environment

The Lead Driver Helper works in a combination of transportation, warehouse, construction, and active data center environments. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and may involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, weather conditions, and operational hazards associated with logistics and construction settings.

This position regularly operates within mission-critical facilities, active construction projects, loading docks, and transportation environments where safety, professionalism, and strict adherence to procedures are essential. The Lead Driver Helper is expected to set the standard for workplace safety, professionalism, and customer service while ensuring operational objectives are achieved.

For this position, the expected base pay range is $40.00 – $42.00 an hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
