Driver PositionAs a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, CNS Healthcare's mission is to serve the people of our communities. We've shared some highlights below, but you can visit the benefits guide posted on our careers page to learn more!Comprehensive medical insurance optionsEmployer-paid benefits including dental, vision, life, and short-term disability insuranceRetirement program with generous company default contribution and matchGenerous PTO program starting at 18 days annually16 paid holidays, including 3 floating holidaysPaid parental leaveStudent loan forgiveness eligibility, including Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF), HRSA, and moreEssential FunctionsPerforms driving duties, other miscellaneous clerical and office dutiesReviews daily schedule and helps fellow drivers when not busy.Drives to and arrives at destinations as scheduled.Notifies agency staff and consumer when running late.Participate in and promote departmental and agency quality improvement initiatives.Contacts consumer and agency in the event of a delay through the use of the company phone.Maintains a helpful and courteous attitude when interacting with consumers, visitors, and agency personnel.Adheres to the posted speed limits and all State of Michigan laws that apply to motor vehicles.Assists clients in and out of the van.Maneuvers wheelchairs on and off the van lift.Maintains and checks the fluid/gasoline levels in all vehicles.Provides weekly reports to the department supervisor.Performs miscellaneous clerical and office duties as assigned when not driving.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)A minimum of 1 year of transportation services experienceValid Michigan Operator or CDL (Driver's) licenseReliable transportation with proof of insuranceMust have an excellent driving record No more than 1 moving violation within the past 12 monthsNo operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated or impaired by consumption due to alcohol or illegal drugs within the past 8 yearsNo suspended, revoked, or expired license within the past 5 yearsNo more than 2 points on current driving recordAbility to use a wheelchair liftIntermediate level experience with computers and Microsoft office productsAbility to work closely with persons with mental or physical limitations.Ability to drive safely in all types of weather and road conditionsAbility to communicate effectively, professionally, and courteouslyAbility to use discretion and judgement when handling matters of a sensitive or confidential natureIntermediate time management, problem solving, customer service, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skillsIntermediate collaboration and team working skillsAbility to be forward thinking and take initiative to accomplish goals and objectives of the departmentCNS Healthcare (CNS) is a non-profit, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) with seven clinics and two clubhouses in Southeastern Michigan.
