Perm Medical Lab Technician

Pay Rate: $30.00–$44.00/hour (union position; non-negotiable and based on years of experience)

Position Summary:
Performs clinical laboratory testing to assist physicians in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases.

Key Responsibilities & Skills:

• Perform clinical laboratory testing using standard laboratory techniques and safety procedures.
• Operate laboratory equipment, analyzers, microscopes, and applicable computer systems (LIS/HIS).
• Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and organized workflow.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, multitasking, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Communicate effectively with staff and the public.

Requirements:

• Must meet CLIA-88 , CAP , and Joint Commission personnel requirements.
• Associate degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or equivalent as required.
• Working knowledge of laboratory information systems, automated analyzers, centrifuges, pipettors, microscopes, and pneumatic tube systems.
• Active Oregon state license required.
