Job Overview

We are seeking passionate Folklórico Dance Instructors to educate (Tk-4) students in global dance traditions. This role involves designing curriculum, leading energetic classes, and fostering cultural appreciation through movement and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, inclusive folk dance instruction and choreography.
• Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and restorative strategies.
• Prepare instructional materials and ensure student safety at all times.
• Keep inventory of Performance materials.
• Collaborate with site leads and participate in professional development.
• Organize showcases to highlight student progress and celebrate traditions.

Requirements

• Passion for teaching school-age children.
• Proven expertise in folk or traditional dance instruction and choreography.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to pass DOJ/FBI Live Scan clearance and submit TB test results.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with elementary-aged students
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Location:  Sacramento, CA

Schedule:  Mon–Fri, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM (17–20 hours/week)
