Production Team Coordinator - P2

Job Description The Team Coordinator assists the supervisor in the operation of an area of a department so that the Supervisor may increase focus on the people in the area and not be as involved in daily specific workflow issues. The Team Coordinator is primarily responsible for ensuring continuous production flow by relieving bottlenecks within the department, filling in positions as needed, identifying part/resource shortages, finding solutions and/or notifying Supervisors that solutions are needed, facilitating implementation of Lean Manufacturing processes, and requesting non personnel related assistance of other departments by completing work orders and requesting engineering and SFA assistance. The Team Coordinator may also be required to do other reasonable manufacturing duties as assigned. Business Unit Job Summary Primarily conducts Team Coordinator tasks in an assigned department and may be used in other departments. Responsibilities Reduce production bottlenecks on the manufacturing product line. Address and correct workflow issues. Learn all positions and fill in as needed. Identify parts and resource shortages and provide solutions. Communicate situations to Supervisors, Engineers, and Managers as appropriate. Minimum Qualifications High School graduate or GED. 4+ years of experience. Preferred Qualifications Previous lead position experience. Physical & Environmental Demands Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Ability to lift between 50 and 100 pounds with assistance. Ability to work with all hand tools required of all positions within the area, including general work tools, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, brazing and wiring tools, forklifts, etc. Ability to effectively direct the flow of others. Ability to foster teamwork and resolve conflict. Ability to work long hours and a variety of shifts as needed. Ability to learn and utilize the material tracking system. Ability to work in an environment with temperatures occasionally above 100 degrees or below 32 degrees. Time Travel Required 10% travel may be required as appropriate depending on product line needs.
