Must-Have:

• At least 2 years of experience
• Proficient in performing brain, abdominal, pelvis, spine, biopsies, drainage, extremities, angiography, and cryoablation studies
• Experience using EMR and PACS systems, specifically Radnet and Merge PACS
• Familiarity with Canon 16 slice and Canon 80 slice equipment

Description:

The department has two scanners for imaging processes. An average of 85 to 100 scans or studies are performed daily. The radiology supervisor or lead technologist oversees the unit. Radiologists are present in-house during the day and are on call after normal hours. IV starts will be managed by an interventional radiology nurse, or by floor and emergency department nurses for their patients having a CT procedure. No weekend or standby shift requirements are enforced. Holiday requirements include one major and one minor holiday. Scrub color is teal, and scrubs are provided. Department-specific orientation is conducted by the lead technologist or senior technologists. The facility may cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment or three for shorter assignments, with the option of paying for specific shifts in lieu of cancellation. Charting is performed using Cerner. A BSN is not required for this position. This role is set in an acute care environment.
