Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Job Title: Special Education Teacher
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Position Details:
- Full-time
- In-person only
- Schedule: 8 AM – 4 PM
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated educator to support students in a 6th grade classroom. This role focuses on creating a structured, supportive environment that promotes positive behavior, emotional regulation, and academic growth.
Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction tailored to students with social-emotional and behavioral needs
- Implement behavior intervention strategies and supports
- Foster a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment
- Collaborate with staff, specialists, and families
- Monitor student progress and adjust supports as needed
Qualifications:
- Experience working with elementary students (grades 3-5 preferred)
- Strong classroom management and behavior support skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Relevant teaching certification (preferred/required based on district)
