This role also assists physicians during patient encounters, delivers patient education related to tests and treatments, and manages scheduling for outpatient procedures.ResponsibilitiesEnsure completion of all necessary consents and documents for the medical record, utilizing hospital-approved abbreviations and following hospital charting guidelinesParticipate in all phases of education, maintenance of records, upgrading of policies, procedures, and skillsSchedule procedures for Ophthalmology and DermatologyGather initial health status of patients including vital signs and documents per policyRequirements:Certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant Certification must be maintained through continuing educationMust obtain MA-R within 60 days of hireBLS - Basic Life Support (includes RQI) - American Heart Association or American Red CrossMinimum two (2) years of experience as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician or Certified Ophthalmic AssistantPediatric experience preferredAbout Mary Bridge Children'sFor more than 70 years, MultiCare Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network has cared for children and families across the South Sound. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $28.89 - $47.76 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
