About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 or 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Valid compact license required Certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS (preferred) Must-Have: Epic experience required Ability to work holidays Description: Locals are accepted at the same rate. Travelers can request up to 2 major holidays off. The unit requires travelers to work only 1 of 3 holidays. This facility has a beautiful campus. There is a great camaraderie among staff, including book clubs and group dinners. Travelers must have experience in labor and delivery. This unit includes 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms. Special procedures include blood/blood product administration. Other special procedures include cardioversion, defibrillation, and the use of warming blankets. Additional procedures involve administration of heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate. Travelers will attend all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries. The staffing ratio is typically 1:1 to 1:3. Travelers may be asked to float to other units as needed. References covering one year of experience within the last three years are required. Floating to other facilities may be necessary. Failure to float may result in termination of assignment. Providers may be required to submit their cell phone bills for reimbursement. Communication devices will be provided if needed. Candidates should not reach out to facility contacts directly unless agreed upon.
