Position Overview Firearms Instructors are responsible for providing quality training, ensuring that each student has a productive, challenging, and meaningful experience in the classroom or on the firing range. The primary responsibility of each Instructor is to ensure the safety and well‑being of all Midwest Shooting Center students while adhering to the Midwest Shooting Center curriculum, SOPs, and best practices. What You’ll Do Provide instruction for small group sessions utilizing prescribed curriculum Execute course curriculum as directed Evaluates the abilities of individual participants to determine suitable corrective or remedial training Maintains overall safety and organization of the training environment Ensures safety of students; communicates and oversees compliance with company policy, procedures, and safety guidelines Ensures accountability for all training equipment Identifies the requirements needed to maintain required certifications Completes any additional training and/or certifications required by the industry Other duties as assigned What Success Looks Like A well‑managed calendar with minimal gaps, cancellations, or administrative issues. High client show rates driven by proactive communication and engagement calls. Consistently positive client feedback and repeat training participation. Clean, safe, and compliant instructional environments with strong inspection results. Professional, confident instruction that builds trust, competence, and enthusiasm in students. Strong alignment with MSC culture, standards, and expectations for premium services. Who You Are Strong instructional presence with the ability to teach clearly and confidently. Excellent time management and calendar discipline. Professional communication skills for client engagement calls and in‑person instruction. High attention to detail, especially related to safety and inspections. Ownership mindset with accountability for scheduling, preparation, and execution. Calm, controlled demeanor in high‑responsibility environments. Adaptability to different student skill levels, learning styles, and class formats. Team‑oriented attitude with a commitment to MSC standards and continuous improvement. Annual salary range: $40,000–$55,000, depending on experience and performance. Performance‑based incentives.
