Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. Responsibilities

• Conducts nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans.
• Identifies patient education needs and collaborates with patients/families and the interdisciplinary team.
• Documents assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record.
• Participates in patient rehabilitation programs and provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Initiates discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicates pertinent information regarding patient status changes to ensure continuity of care.
• Provides direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Maintains a focus on personal and environmental safety in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Contributes positively to unit functioning, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Identifies personal professional growth opportunities and actively pursues development through continued education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS required prior to first shift.
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience.
• Recent charge nurse experience preferred.

Schedule

This position follows a day shift schedule of 3x12 hour shifts.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
