Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) in the Step Down Unit located in Nashville, Tennessee. This position involves providing specialized nursing care on a progressive care unit that focuses on patients post cardiac surgery and with related cardiac conditions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• The schedule includes shifts of 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification. Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test is also required.
• Experience Requirement: 0 years of experience.
• Location: Nashville, Tennessee.
• Specific duties involve caring for patients with diagnoses such as pre and post cardiac surgery, acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, unstable arrhythmias, and other related cardiac disorders.
• The unit has a capacity of 24 beds and serves young adult through late adult patients (ages 18 to 60+).
• The core staffing plan includes Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and Nurse Interns (NIs), with an RN assuming full responsibility for the patients on each team.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Candidates should be highly motivated nurses looking to contribute to a cardiac care team on a fast-paced, specialized unit.
