The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is charged with accepting and accurately processing transactions according to the Bank's policies and procedures. As the initial contact for new and existing customers, a CSR is charged with providing excellent customer service while identifying referral opportunities and performing account transactions. Determines the proper individual/line of business to handle referral opportunities and more complex customer service issues.Essential FunctionsExcellent Customer ServicePerform Customer TransactionsOperational and Security ProficiencyIdentify Referral OpportunitiesEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPersonally models the standards of the Bank's Mission, Vision, and Pledge.Accepts and accurately processes all financial service transactions.Responsible for CSR cash drawer ad follows proper balancing and cash handling procedures.Complies and operates within security and audit procedures.Maintains a position of trust and responsibility by keeping all employee information and customer business confidential and in a secured location.Contribute in a team environment to service customer needs by answering incoming telephone calls and any additional duties assigned to support the success of the Banking Center.Meets established individual referral goals as assigned.Determines the appropriate individual/line of business to handle referral opportunities and more complex customer service issues; follow up to ensure customer need was met.Complete outbound customer calls as needed to support the sales and service needs of the Banking Center.Develops and maintains working knowledge of the Bank's products and services.Other Skills and AbilitiesAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to write simple correspondenceAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers. Clients, and other employees of the organizationsSound mathematical and analytical skills preferred.Demonstrates the ability to interpret and follow written, verbal, and visual instructions, using sound judgement and common-sense decision making to complete tasks accurately and effectively.Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Must have strong product knowledge for the level of selling and successfully promoting products expected with position.Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task ad to be flexible.High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.Minimum of 1 year of Cash Handling, Sales or Customer Service experience preferred.
