Position Summary Caremark LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Scottsdale, AZ: Sr Software Development Engineer to design and develop software applications and platforms to support digital strategies and solutions. The role includes analyzing user needs, developing software solutions to meet business requirements, determining feasibility of solutions design, preparing technical design documentation, upgrading existing software applications and/or systems to improve functionality and performance, writing and reviewing high quality code, performing unit and automation testing, developing and deploying application components, supporting unit testing and bug fixes, participating in AGILE Scrum meetings and/or CI/CD, supporting applications, systems and databases used to process prescriptions, claims, and related healthcare activities, collaborating with cross‑functional teams on development, technical requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and best practices, and mentoring junior team members. Multiple positions are available. Responsibilities Analyze user needs and develop software solutions to meet business requirements. Determine feasibility of solutions design and prepare technical design documentation. Upgrade existing software applications and/or systems to improve functionality, features, performance, reliability, and maintainability. Write and review high‑quality code and perform unit and/or automation testing. Develop and deploy application components, support unit testing and bug fixes. Participate in AGILE Scrum meetings and/or CI/CD. Support applications, systems, and databases used to process prescriptions, claims, and related healthcare activities. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on applications development, technical requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices. Mentor junior team members. Qualifications Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires two (2) years of experience in each of the following: CI/CD, Jenkins, GIT, or DevOps. XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript. Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles. REST, SOAP, or Web Service APIs. Docker or Kubernetes. JIRA, Rally, or Confluence. Compensation Pay Range: $111,072.00/year to $185,400.00/year. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short‑term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. It also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
