We are looking for a professional, friendly, and dependable individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and leading a high-performing, high-volume front desk team. This is a hands-on leadership role that works directly alongside the front desk staff while serving as a primary point of contact for patients. The Team Lead will help oversee daily operations, support and guide team members, and ensure efficient workflow and a positive patient experience across Forté locations as needed. This position reports directly to the Patient Access Manager.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.The team lead’s duties are performed along with the employee’s regular job responsibilities.Greet patients and visitors in a warm, welcoming, and caring mannerMaintain positive working relationships with physicians, clinical teams, management, staff, and external partnerNew hire trainingManage scheduling for the department staff to ensure adequate coverageReview PTO requests and timecardsFirst point of contact for escalated patient and team member issuesMay assist with the performance review process at the discretion of the department managerProvide directions, answer questions, and assist with a variety of patient and visitor needsDeliver exceptional customer service while consistently representing the organization in a positive and professional mannerRegister patients; manage check-in and check-out processes - including but not limited to: accurately collect co-payments and past-due balances, verify insurance, obtain referral information; and send/receive faxes as neededPerform accurate data entry within the practice management system(s)Competencies (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities)Demonstrate excellent customer service skills while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage time effectively and handle challenging conversations professionallyCapacity for leadership and a willingness to learn and grow within the roleAbility to train staff, manage scheduling/time-off, and handle escalationStrong technical proficiency with computer software, web browsers, and multiple operating systemsRequired Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required2–3+ years of experience in a medical office setting required; orthopedic office experience preferredExperience with insurance verification, scheduling within an EMR system, and familiarity with medical terminology preferredTravelAbility to travel locally to all Forté locations as needed; mileage reimbursement providedForté Sports Medicine and Orthopedics is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug free workplace #J-18808-Ljbffr Forte' Sports Medicine & Orthopedics
