OVERALL PURPOSE This position is responsible to perform and operate engineered equipment and adhere to good machining practices. This position is required to conduct business in a professional and cordial manner that will uphold the integrity and reputation of Pine Electronics. This position maintains a thorough working knowledge of and adheres to the policies, regulations, and procedures of Pine Electronics. Note: Nothing in this position description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this position at any time. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Produce precision parts, while maintaining tight tolerance to specifications 2. Operate CNC Lathe 3. Operate CNC Vertical Mill 4. Operate Manual Lathe 5. Operate machine shop equipment including saws, drill press, grinder, sheet metal shear and sheet metal brake 6. Maintain machine and equipment cleanliness along with following preventative maintenance standards 7. Inspect and document work using precision measuring instruments and reports to ensure that parts are produced in conformance to specifications OTHER DUTIES 1. General material movement to maintain production 2. Longer run-times may allow for sawing, drill or sheet metal operations 3. Operate forklift as needed for material movement SUPERVISION RECEIVED 1. Supervision is typically received from the Machine Shop Supervisor SUPERVISION ADMINISTERED 1. This position typically does not require the supervision of staff QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING 1. HS Diploma or GED required WORK-RELATED KNOWLEDGE 1. Knowledge of CNC Lathe programming, setup and operation including G Codes and operational edits to existing CNC programs 2. Knowledge of CNC vertical milling machine programing, setup and operation including G codes and operational edits to existing CNC programs 3. Knowledge of reading and interpreting prints with an understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance Standards (GD&T) 4. Knowledge of manufacturing Quality Management (QMS) / ISO 9000 standard KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS 1. Identify problems, inform others, and provide information to assist with solving the problem VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS 1.
