ETL Developer / Data Integration Developer
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced ETL Developer / Data Integration Developer to support a growing healthcare organization's data integration, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL, ETL development, API integrations, and Power BI , with the ability to build scalable data pipelines and streamline reporting processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with enterprise healthcare systems, including Epic, while supporting the development of AI-powered analytics and executive reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data across multiple enterprise systems, including Epic, SQL databases, and Power BI.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures.
- Build and maintain REST API integrations to enable secure data exchange between applications.
- Create reliable datasets and data models to support Power BI dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting.
- Automate data workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities.
- Troubleshoot data integration issues and optimize pipeline performance.
- Support AI-powered analytics initiatives, including integrations with Anthropic Claude and other AI platforms.
- Collaborate with IT leadership, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure data quality, security, and consistency across integrated systems.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and enterprise data integrations.
- Strong SQL development skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, including data modeling and dataset development.
- Experience developing or consuming REST APIs and working with JSON.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, data warehousing, and data transformation.
- Experience automating data processing and reporting workflows.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with healthcare data systems, particularly Epic Clarity or Caboodle .
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or Microsoft Fabric.
- Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, or API integrations.
- Familiarity with AI/LLM platforms such as Anthropic Claude.
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards, including HL7 and FHIR.
- Understanding of HIPAA, data governance, and secure data integration practices.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
