Join Our Team And Experience Endless Career PossibilitiesThis position is responsible for physically establishing the environment for all events.Primary Duties and Responsibilities includes but not limited to:Responsible for physically establishing the environment, including basic event equipment for all banquets/conventions inside or outside the Convention CenterAssists in monitoring the event space for cleanliness or maintenanceAssists guests with movement of equipment, materials or boxes as deemed by supervisorResponsible for cleanliness of the storage rooms and back of house areas for the Ballroom and Convention CenterSecondary Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for periodically refreshing rooms according to written instructionsFollows all Fire Marshal requirementsResponsible for executing events off-site as neededMinimum Education and Qualifications:Ability to handle physical responsibilities involved with moving and placing event space equipment, including tables, chairs, podiums and other equipmentMust have a valid U.S. driver's licenseMust be able to communicate effectively in EnglishCompetencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of operational policies including, but not limited to, hours of operationKnowledge of meeting room sets including dance floor and staging systemsAbility to operate electric pallet jackKnowledge of Ballroom, Convention Center, storeroom locations and various catering areas throughout the casinoWorking knowledge of Air Wall SystemTraining Requirements:Knowledge of Mohegan Sun corporate and department policies and proceduresPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of timeMust be able to work in outside elements, as neededMust be able to work in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptionsMust be able to work various shifts and flexible hoursThis is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements or working conditions associated with the job.
