Role Overview : This role provides specialized respiratory care to premature and critically ill newborns, including ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and airway support. The role involves close collaboration with neonatologists and the care team to stabilize and support infants with complex respiratory needs.

Requirements :

• 1 year experience required
• Flu Vaccine Required - No Exemptions
• SC RRT license
• Certificates Required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, National license/certificate
• 1 year of EPIC experience.
• Medication System: Pyxis & Omnicell
• Able to work in all areas of PEDS which include PICU, NICU, ER and Acute Care.

Required Skills:

• Medication Delivery Systems: Aerosol set up mask, Aerosol set up trach, Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI)
• Medication Administration: Albuterol, Atrovent, Flovent, Mucomyst, Xopenex
• Oxygen therapy: Bag and mask, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Trach collar
• Work Settings: Emergency Department, Pediatric Critical Care, Pediatrics
• Nebulizer: Handheld, Trach collar

Preferred Skills:

• Neonatal/Pediatrics - Equipment/procedures: Apnea Monitor, Capillary blood gases

Schedule :

• Shifts: 3x12‑hour shifts. Days 0700-1930 or Nights 1900-0730
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (but may vary based on need)
• Floating is required if needed.
