Class A CDL Driver

As a Class A CDL Driver for Crescent Electric Supply Company, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery and/or pick up of local goods to specified locations or job sites.

Primary Duties:

1. Become familiar with delivery routes and customers' preferences.
2. Perform warehouse duties when called upon which includes materials handling, shipping and receiving, picking and packing orders.
3. Load and unload trucks in an accurate and efficient manner.
4. Complete all DOT assigned reports and paperwork as required daily
5. Complete annual DOT Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) check and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Clearinghouse query.
6. Safe driving and handling of freight

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid driver's license. CDL Class A required.
• Air Brake Certification is required.
• Current DOT medical certification card and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a medical certification card.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent

Physical Demands:

Often standing, walking, bending, reaching, and stooping. Occasional sitting, talking/hearing. The use of hands/fingers are often needed.

• Continuous lifting and carrying of 1-20 lbs.
• Frequent lifting and carrying of 21-50 lbs.
• Occasional lifting and carrying of 51-100 lbs. with the assistance of a buddy-lift or a mechanical device.

Vision Requirements:

• Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
• Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more).
• Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point).
• Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships).
