Haig Point is seeking an experienced Sauté Cook who takes pride in culinary excellence and understands that exceptional food is an essential part of exceptional hospitality.

Located on beautiful Daufuskie Island, South Carolina, Haig Point is a distinguished private, member-owned club and community offering a truly unique Lowcountry experience. Our culinary team plays an important role in creating memorable experiences for members, guests, private events, and special occasions.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Sauté Cook, you will be an integral member of our culinary brigade, responsible for executing menu items with precision, consistency, and attention to detail.

We are looking for a culinary professional who understands the importance of quality ingredients, proper technique, timing, presentation, and consistency—and who takes personal pride in every plate that leaves the kitchen.

YOUR ROLE

• Execute sautéed and other menu items to established recipes and presentation standards
• Maintain consistency in flavor, temperature, portioning, and presentation
• Prepare and organize your station for efficient, seamless service
• Work closely with the Chef de Cuisine and culinary team to execute service at a high level
• Maintain strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and food preparation
• Monitor product quality and proper food handling throughout service
• Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization
• Assist with prep, banquets, special events, and other culinary operations as needed
• Contribute ideas and culinary expertise to continuously improve the member dining experience
• Support a professional kitchen culture built on teamwork, accountability, and respect

WE'RE LOOKING FOR A CULINARY PROFESSIONAL WHO

• Has previous experience in a quality-driven restaurant, resort, hotel, country club, or private-club environment
• Demonstrates strong sauté and line-cooking skills
• Takes pride in precision, consistency, and presentation
• Understands the expectations associated with private-club dining
• Performs calmly and professionally in a high-volume environment
• Has a strong work ethic and commitment to culinary excellence
• Values teamwork and takes ownership of their station
• Is passionate about hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences
