Empire Eye Clinic is a progressive ophthalmic medical and surgical practice, and we are searching Ophthalmic Technician for our Spokane Valley Clinic. We will assist you with on-the-job training to help you reach your goals as an Ophthalmic Technician. Empire Eye Clinic fosters growth as you will be exposed to a wide variety of optical cases, on-the-job training, and partnering with our diverse staff, surgeons, and physicians.

Responsibilities:
- Assist providers in performing clinical functions such as ophthalmic procedures, room flow, and status communication to the patient and provider
- Ensures the patient understands all instructions.
- Take and document patients' medical histories.
- Operates ophthalmic equipment
- Sterilize instruments and maintain ophthalmic instruments or equipment.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Problem-solving math skills
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suite or G-Suite
- Effectively work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated multitasking and adaptability
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with communication via phone, internet, and in-person
- Ability to maintain and follow HIPAA procedures and policies
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year experience as an ophthalmic assistant preferred
