• Job Title: Advanced Heart Failure Cardiology

• Job Type: Locum Tenens

• Location: Fort Myers, FL

• Service Setting: Hospital and Outpatient

• Coverage Type: Clinical + Call

• Coverage Period: August 5, 2026 – December 31, 2026

• Clinical Shift Schedule: TBD; Weekend Rounding Coverage

• On-Call Shift Schedule: Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 8:00 AM

PATIENT INFORMATION

• Patient Demographics: Adult Cardiology Patients

• Patient Volume/Census: TBD

• Rounding: Required

• Case Mix: Advanced Heart Failure, Cardiogenic Shock, Mechanical Circulatory Support, Heart Failure Management

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

• NPDB report must be less than 3 months old

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Rate: TBD

• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Advanced Heart Failure Management

• Cardiogenic Shock Management

• Impella Management

• ECMO Management

• Mechanical Circulatory Support Management

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Board: BC/BE in Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiology by ABIM

• Fellowship: ACGME Accredited Heart Failure Fellowship Required

• Experience: More than 5 years post-fellowship preferred

• Proficient with Impella and ECMO

• Strong multidisciplinary collaboration skills

• Telehealth Experience: No

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide weekend inpatient coverage

• Round on advanced heart failure patients

• Manage cardiogenic shock patients

• Evaluate patients in clinic and hospital settings

• Collaborate with APPs, cardiologists, and surgeons

• Manage mechanical circulatory support therapies
