Job Summary

Bianco Electric is seeking a dependable and motivated Fire Alarm Installer to install, modify, and assist with testing fire alarm systems on commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively with project managers, foremen, and other trades to ensure systems are installed according to plans, code, and manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

Install fire alarm devices, control panels, conduit, cable, and associated equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, fire alarm drawings, and wiring diagrams.
Pull, terminate, and label fire alarm wiring.
Install conduit using EMT, PVC, and other approved raceway systems.
Mount and wire smoke detectors, pull stations, horn/strobes, annunciators, modules, and related devices.
Assist with programming, testing, and commissioning of fire alarm systems.
Troubleshoot wiring and installation issues.
Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 72, and local codes.
Coordinate work with general contractors, inspectors, and other trades.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Complete required documentation, punch lists, and daily reports.
Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and other construction equipment safely.

Qualifications

Experience installing commercial fire alarm systems preferred.
Knowledge of NFPA 72 and NEC requirements is a plus.
Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with low-voltage wiring methods and conduit installation.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening if required.

Physical Requirements

Lift up to 75 pounds.
Stand, kneel, bend, and climb throughout the workday.
Work from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts.
Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Comfortable working at heights when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

NICET Fire Alarm Certification (Level I or higher).
Nebraska Apprentice or Journeyman Electrician License.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
Experience with manufacturers such as Notifier, Silent Knight, Siemens, Edwards, Honeywell, Potter, or Simplex.
