Senior Linux Systems & Virtualization Engineer

Salary: $104,000 - 114,400 per year Requirements:

• Experience with networking, systems software, and virtualization
• Strong knowledge of Linux internals, system boot, systemd, networking, and performance troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with KVM, QEMU, libvirt, virtual networking, and virtual NICs
• Understanding of IPv4, NICs, Linux bridges, bonding, VLANs, routing, DHCP, DNS, and firewalling
• Experience with SR-IOV, PCI passthrough, DPDK, and Open vSwitch (OVS)
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting
• Familiarity with REST/RESTCONF APIs, NETCONF, and YANG
• Experience managing Linux services, RPM-based distributions, and packaging
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues using logs, core dumps, packet captures, and traces
• Strong understanding of kernel boot loaders and boot order, including UEFI and initramfs
• Strong understanding of how to identify memory leaks and system performance bottlenecks
