This position entails completing home repairs and handicap modifications for low income homeowners in Thurston County. Repairs may include: floor repair and installation, siding repair and installation, carpentry skills to complete stair and deck repairs, basic plumbing repair, general home maintenance including caulking, gutter cleaning, cabinet repair, drywalling, etc. Successful applicant will have good people skills to work with vulnerable homeowners, project volunteers, and other employees. Will primarily be working independently 15 - 30 hours a week depending upon need. Could become a full time position. Willing to provide some training. Applicant needs to have reliable vehicle and tools to complete repairs.

Repairs and ADA modifications are completed to ensure vulnerable homeowners have safe and healthy living conditions. Hot running water, HVAC needs and safety modifications (grab bars, wheelchair ramps, smoke and CO2 detectors, handrails, and stair repairs) are addressed through grant funds and private donations. Our services prevent homelessness, ensures homeowners have basic housing needs met, can live with dignity, age in place, and stay in their community.
