Material Handlers are also responsible for the transportation, stocking, and staging of manufacturing raw and processed inventory.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSMove raw material into inventory once receiving is complete.Consolidate material in pan, rack, and arm locations to make space available for new inventory.Assist receiving clerk with unloading incoming raw material.Return and restock material to inventory.Assist in disposal and stocking of non-inventoried items; including cardboard, trash, and scrap material of red rack items dispositioned as scrap.Provide material requirements to Manufacturing teamOperate fork-lift and material moving equipment.Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.Must have a knowledge of arithmetic, and ability to read and use a tape measure and caliper, in order to perform the essential functions of this job.Use a computer/electronic equipment to perform data entry.Must be able to interact in-person with coworkers and the public.Must be able to handle high stress situations.Perform other related duties as assigned.REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS STATEMENTTo accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to help enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.POSITION QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma, G.E.D, or equivalent (required)3 to 6 months of related experience (required)Must be licensed or able to be licensed to operate mobile equipment including fork-lift and 4D (required)Must currently have a chauffeur license, or be willing to obtain one.PHYSICAL DEMANDSRoutinely required to stand and walk; use hands to handle and feel; reach with arms and hands; as well as climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlRoutinely performs repetitive movements such as bending, twisting, reaching, lifting and pullingRemains in a stationary, standing, or walking position for the length of the shift.Lifts, moves, or positions materials weighing up to 50lbs.Specific vision requirements include depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.Must be able to wear all necessary safety equipment.ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONSRoutinely work in noisy environment.Routinely exposed to moving and mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.The company has reviewed this job description to ensure that essential functions and basic duties have been included.
