DENTAL ASSISTANT - INSTRUCTOR - PART TIME - MORNINGS AND EVENINGS

We are looking for experienced DA's to become fully trained instructors for evening classes 2 nights/week. Classes are M-TH 5:30-10.

We are also looking for PRN morning class instructors as needed. Classes are M-F 8:30-1.

We look for experienced Dental Assistants to teach year round classes as Primary Scheduled Instructors and Secondary PRN Instructors ready to step in as needed for teaching assistant and substitutes as needed.

Dental Assistant Instructor duties include:

• Teach in the Dental Assisting classroom with 10-20 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.
• Learning the material and delivering lectures and demonstrations, working from the Ross lesson plans and curriculum.
• Class sessions are 4.5 hours in either day or evening sessions.
• This is a part-time position, typically 9-18 hours per week.

Requirements

• 3+ years' experience in the field and a national certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA from AMT) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA from DANB) and formal training in a dental assisting program like Ross. If you do not have the formal education, you can also qualify with 5+ years' experience in the field and a national certification. *additional requirements or exceptions may be applicable based on the state, program, and accreditation requirements
• Interest in teaching or prior experience
• Must be flexible and have a passion to learn and grow

• Sufficient ability to stand for extended periods of time, move around the building and classroom to satisfy student needs and/or facilitate student participation. • Ability to use current technology to maintain student records

• Ability to achieve or maintain credential and/or licensure within expected time frames
• Demonstrates professionalism in manner, dress and conduct as a representative of Ross and a student mentor
• Ability to remain objective and treat all students equally
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Adhere to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics
• Clinical Coordinators need to have ability to travel to visit clinical sites or other meetings
• Prior teaching or formal tutoring experience using a developed curriculum, preferred
• Perform related work as required
