M365 / Power Platform Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Power Platform applications and automated workflows.
• Build Canvas and Model-Driven Power Apps using Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Lists, and related data sources.
• Develop integrations with Microsoft 365 services and approved external systems.
• Design intuitive and accessible user interfaces, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for Power Apps and Microsoft 365 solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and participate in discovery sessions, requirements workshops, design reviews, demonstrations, and stakeholder feedback cycles.
• Support application lifecycle management, environments, solution deployments, source control, deployment pipelines, production releases, defect resolution, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, technical leads, business analysts, testers, administrators, and developers in Agile or hybrid delivery teams.
• Track development tasks, estimates, status, risks, dependencies, and technical notes using Jira or comparable tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• 3–5+ years of professional experience developing business applications, workflow automation, or enterprise technology solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps Canvas applications and Power Automate workflows.
• Experience with Dataverse, SharePoint Online, and/or Microsoft Lists, plus Microsoft 365 services such as Teams, OneDrive, and Outlook.
• Ability to design intuitive, professional, user-friendly application interfaces and apply UI/UX fundamentals including usability, responsiveness, and accessibility.
• Experience translating business requirements into functional technical solutions and understanding application design, data modeling, permissions, integrations, testing, and deployment.
• Preferred experience delivering Microsoft 365 or Power Platform solutions for federal government customers.
• Preferred experience with Model-Driven Power Apps, Power Pages, Dataverse, Power BI, Power Platform ALM, CI/CD, managed solutions, environment strategies, and deployment pipelines.
• Preferred experience with custom connectors, Microsoft Graph, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, SPFx, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, or legacy application modernization.
• Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility, cybersecurity, records management, privacy, and compliance requirements is preferred.
• Microsoft certifications such as PL-400 or PL-200 and experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, or comparable tools are preferred.
