Job Summary The Inventory Specialist's primary responsibility is to work with the Inventory Manager in keeping track of inventory via cycle counting, variance research, and other related tasks. Key Responsibilities Learn company products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy. Provide the highest level of customer service to all customers. Check accuracy of materials according to the list of materials on the sales invoice. Work with salespeople, customers, yard manager and drivers to ensure timely, accurate delivery of materials to jobsites. Perform cycle counts, returns processing, and other items under the supervision of the inventory manager. Safely drive trucks and forklifts, obeying all traffic laws and wearing a seatbelt at all times while driving a company truck or forklift. Follow yard loading and delivery procedures. Accurately record all merchandise returns on a credit memo, including verification of returns brought back to yard by drivers. Loading of customer merchandise. Perform additional duties as assigned. Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications High school diploma required. Desire to learn and grow professionally. Ability to react quickly to problems and respond accurately and professionally. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to stand and walk for 4‑10 hours daily. Physical strength to lift and carry 50 pounds. Ability to operate a computer and calculator. Ability to stoop, kneel, and crouch. Must have a positive and energetic attitude. Good organizational skills to organize inventory and improve the efficiency of the selection and shipping process.
