Position Summary

Gilmore, a Control Devices, LLC company, is seeking an IT Systems Support Technician to provide hands-on technology support for our Houston operation while supporting broader company IT initiatives. This position will support end users, business applications, workstation deployment, IT security, and data/reporting needs.

In addition to traditional IT support responsibilities, this role will have a strong focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Microsoft Power Platform, process automation, and SQL Server. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded IT professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and working directly with users to make technology more effective.

This is an on-site position in Houston, TX.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support and maintenance for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) and other business applications.
• Monitoring the company's IT support portal and completing IT support tickets in an effective and timely manner.
• Troubleshoot application errors, user issues, permissions, workflows, and system functionality.
• Assist users with Dynamics 365 questions and provide guidance on system processes and functionality.
• Support system updates, testing, configuration changes, and issue resolution.
• Develop and maintain solutions using Microsoft Power BI and Power Automate.
• Partner with business users to understand existing processes and translate needs into practical technology solutions.
• Assist with reporting and dashboard development using Power BI.
• Create and modify SQL queries to support reporting, troubleshooting, and business needs.
• Assist with Microsoft SQL Server database support and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and assist with data validation and reporting.
• Support data integrations between Dynamics 365 and other business systems.
• Assist with database backup, recovery, and data integrity activities as needed.
• Support Microsoft 365, Entra ID/Azure AD, Active Directory, and Group Policy environments.
• Assist with user provisioning, permissions, role assignments, MFA, and access management.
• Educate users on phishing, password security, data handling, and other IT security best practices.
• Configure, image, and deploy computers and other equipment for new hires and equipment replacements.
• Manage device enrollment and configuration through Microsoft Intune or similar endpoint management tools.

Required Education

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred. Equivalent relevant education, certifications, and professional IT experience may be considered.

Required Experience & Skills

• Microsoft 365 and Entra ID/Azure AD administration experience.
• Windows 10/11 desktop support and troubleshooting.
• Active Directory and Group Policy knowledge.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
• Experience with endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O).
• PowerShell or other scripting experience.
• Experience supporting ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience creating Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Experience developing Power Automate workflows.
• Microsoft, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or related certifications.
• Experience supporting users across multiple locations.
• Experience developing or implementing process automation solutions.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and writing SQL queries.

Work Environment

This position is primarily office-based within a manufacturing/industrial environment. Occasional lifting of IT equipment up to 50 lbs. may be required.

The position may occasionally require work outside standard business hours to support system maintenance, upgrades, or critical issues. Periodic travel to other Control Devices locations within the United States may also be required.
