Muskego Health & Rehab is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team during an exciting time of growth and transformation.

What You’ll Do

As Director of Nursing, you will oversee the overall delivery of nursing services while developing and supporting a strong clinical team.

• Lead and oversee all nursing operations within the facility

• Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain nursing leadership and frontline staff

• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and resident-centered care

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

• Oversee clinical systems, policies, procedures, and standards of care

• Monitor quality measures and clinical outcomes and implement improvement initiatives

• Partner closely with the Administrator and interdisciplinary leadership team

• Prepare for and successfully manage surveys and regulatory visits

• Manage staffing and nursing resources while maintaining high standards of care

• Build strong relationships with residents, families, physicians, and team members

What We’re Looking For

• Current Wisconsin RN license

• Previous nursing leadership experience

• Skilled nursing or long-term care experience strongly preferred

• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and survey processes

• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop nursing teams

• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

• A hands-on leadership style and willingness to be visible throughout the facility
