Responsibilities

• compounds, prepares, mixes, manufactures and dispenses medicines using a high level of technical and organizational skills
• uses critical thinking abilities throughout dispensing, compounding and clinical activities
• oversees proper handling, usage and storage of drugs in the pharmacy
• maintains standards set by the department and translates policies/procedures into daily operation and clinical activities
• supervises and trains assigned technical personnel and assumes responsibility for technical support activities within the pharmacy department

Requirements

• experience with compounding, preparing, dispensing and manufacturing medicines in a pharmacy setting
• ability to supervise and train technical personnel
• strong organizational and critical-thinking skills
• knowledge of proper drug handling, usage, and storage standards and adherence to department policies
• ability to work in an inpatient care setting
