A Medical Laboratory Scientist job in the blood bank department at an acute care facility in Galveston, TX lets you perform moderate to highly complex laboratory testing to support transfusion services and patient care. You will carry out routine and complex blood bank procedures, ensure quality control, maintain laboratory equipment, and accurately report results. You must have a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field and be eligible for certification by ASCP, AMT, ABHI, or an equivalent within 12 months of hire. 1 year of Blood bank experience required.
